Location & Description:
Quarry Cottage enjoys a convenient location less than a mile from Great Malvern town centre and therefore within walking distance of most amenities including shops and banks, Waitrose and Somerfield supermarkets, the renowned theatre and cinema complex and the Splash leisure pool and gymnasium.

For those requiring good transport communications there are two mainline railway stations within easy reach at Malvern Link and Great Malvern each providing direct access to London, Birmingham and The Midlands, Hereford and South Wales. Junction 7 of the M5 motorway at Worcester is about nine miles away.

For anyone who likes the outdoor life the house is within a few minutes walk of the Malvern Hills themselves at North quarry. The gentler slopes of Malvern Link common are about fifteen minutes away on foot.

As its name implies it is believed the house was constructed almost two hundred years ago as a quarryman's cottage to provide accommodation for local labourers who would have worked on the newly opened and nearby North Quarry. Constructed of stone on three levels the house retains much of its essential character and charm and has a distinctly traditional atmosphere inside. From its elevated position there are lovely views especially from the garden across the rooftops of Malvern towards Worcester and the Seven Valley in the distance.

On the ground floor there is a small entrance porch which opens into a dining room, off which doors lead to a sitting room and kitchen. From the sitting room a recently constructed "Victorian style" spiral staircase leads down to the lower ground floor where there is a further reception room that can double as a study or possibly a fourth bedroom when needed. This room has direct external access as well and could therefore make a very useful office that would enable visitors to come straight to the room without going through the main accommodation. From the dining room, stairs lead up to the first floor where there are three bedrooms and a bathroom with WC. The house has gas fired central heating and a particularly attractive feature are the exposed oak floorboards that are evident in several of the rooms.

There is a small garden which has been neatly laid out and is practically maintenance free. From here there are views across the rooftops of Malvern and The Severn Valley.
